“I didn’t know how to tell you. I’m sorry.” I told Vash. I had finally figured out a way to tell her that Lani had been skimming money from their hair business. I just blurted it out.

“I know.” She nodded and hugged me.

“Thanks for keeping it a buck with me. I’ve known a little over a month now. The funny part is, she starting to get greedy with the shit. It’s crazy, I never thought my own blood would do me like this.” She shook her head.

“I think it’s just best y’all separate and do y’all own thing at this point.” I told her, honestly.

“I agree.” She nodded.

“I just can’t believe she would do this. It was supposed to be us three. Going to the top together. She fucked it up for us.” I rolled my eyes.

“You already know how she is. Hell, I did too, but I just never thought she’d do this to me, you know? But hey, it is what it is at this point. I find it crazy how she been hooping and hollering about how close I been getting with Brie. But I’ve known Brie a short amount of time, and she’s done more shit for me than Lani has ever done. Like, that’s my bitch, I know y’all might feel some type of because-” Vash went to say, but I interrupted her.

“I don’t feel no type of way, sis. I personally like Au’Brielle, and I feel like we’ll all be a force to be reckoned with. We could open our own one stop shop. You cutting hair, me doing nails, and her tattooing.” I laughed, and Vash stared at me like I had just spoke her language.

“Wait, what? Bitch, yes.” She exclaimed.

“Yes, what?” I raised an eyebrow.

“That’s the perfect idea. I never wanted to work in a male shop anyway. I wanted to get my own small shop, bitch, you so damn smart!” She exclaimed. I sat there scratching my head.

“I was joking. You know I don’t do nails anymore.” I told her.

“Well, bitch, you need to start back, and go back to get your certification and license so we can be legit with our shit. Why don’t you do mine now? I know you rusty.” She smirked. I frowned.

“I haven’t did nails in so long, Vash.” I said.

“You’s a lie, cause yo nails stay dipped and whipped.” She pointed out. I laughed, because she had called me on my shit. My nails were naturally a nice length, so I would just do a manicure, or an overlay, and go from there.

“I gotta pull out all my shit.” I told her, standing. She looked as though she didn’t care. I had been working at Walmart, but I managed to get my own shit, and my own place, with the extra coins I got from Lucci. I was super proud of myself, for the first time in my life, I was standing on my own two feet. As I pulled out everything I needed from my closet, I got started on Vash’s nails.
